Job Summary

The role of the Team Leader is to support Team Members in everyday tasks to reach goals for the day. To practice safety and to teach safe working conditions in their area and TGTX. The individual in this role will support the Supervisor and Manager on projects and Kaizen (continuous improvement) and will motivate their teams and support standardized work.

Responsibilities

• Must have strong commitment to the management planning and objectives.
• Direct Involvement in the development of assignments, internal audits. KPM's and Kaizen.
• Lead in application of TPS Systems and 5S Philosophy for TGTX. Define and actively contribute to the accomplishment of the systems.
• Required to operate equipment (Forklift, Tugger, Pallet Jack, Cart, Scanner, Wrapper), fill-in and conduct same tasks as Team Members to support Production Objectives
• Conduct Team meetings and motivate others to accomplish the targets of the business
• Participate in training courses needed for better efficiency in production, timing and cost control.
• Identify task and prepare appropriate response or actions for successful completion.
• Problem-solving and resolution to meet the business efficiency plan.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Sound Experience in Microsoft (Word. Excel, Power Point, etc.) Outlook.
• Extremely Knowledgeable of PA (Shipping) processes to support management initiatives.
• Good Language Skills- English and Spanish Preferred
• Strong Math Skills-- Standard and Metric Systems
• Detail Oriented with good analytical skills and problem solve.

Physical Demands

• Must Be Able to Lift Up to 50 Pounds Repetitively
• Must be able to stand/sit for 8 Hours.
• Must be able to work overtime as required

Working Conditions

• Able to work in loud and noisy environment i.e. honking, forklifts, and loud conversations.
• Very energetic and physical labor oriented work. i.e. picking up pallets, totes, boxes, wraps.
• Able to keep concentration and detailed work while under these physical labor constraints. i.e. Scanning, Writing, Math.
• Able to do more than one task at a time.
• Able to work in high traffic areas (Areas with forklifts/ Pedestrians/Tuggers/ Pallets Jacks
