Job Summary

Manufacturing exposure in a highly technical process-oriented site. Product/Process design

integration of tooling, robotics and automation to work cells. Qualify molds and secondary equipment

for new and existing products as needed. Lead and participate in development and implementation of

action plan activities to improve safety, quality, production, delivery and 5s

Responsibilities

Manage engineering team to deliver production process, equipment and tooling from initial design including development tryouts both external and internal.

Quality, Cost and Delivery targets.

-Introduce new processes, programs, product, and tooling systems to the manufacturing operation to

improve overall productivity and maintain business opportunities.

-Utilize quality tools (QC7) for improvement FEA, DOE, FMEA, SPC, VA/VE activities.

-Lead the design and implementation of injection molding process: process design, process plan, design

design plan for production, track tool and equipment progress report, problem follow up sheet, injection

process condition sheet, PFMEA, standard work and work instructions. Program robots that use EOAT.

-Utilize AutoCAD, SolidWorks and Moldex 3D software for various projects including but not

limited to mold design, cell layout design, mold plastic flow simulation, etc.)

-Drive productivity improvements through SMED and TPM activities

-Other projects and assignments as requested by the management team.

Qualifications

-A minimum of a BS degree, preferably in mechanical

or Plastics related discipline, or 5+ years experience

as an injection molding engineer

-10+ years of management experience

-Use of design software like AutoCAD and SolidWorks

-Knowledge and practice of scientific molding principles

-Manage mulitple projects with minimal supervision

-Problem Solving techniques (PDCA, DMAIC, 8-D)

-Master Molder certificate or equivalent preferred

-Experience working in LEAN manufacturing.

-Excellent computer skills using MS Office Suite

-Excellent written and verbal communication skills

-Must be self-motivated and have excellent

organizational skills

Physical Demands

-Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

-Must be able to bend, squat, kneel to work on equipment

-Able to stand for long periods of time

Working Conditions

-Work environment may include but not be limited to

injection molding, paint and assembly departments.

-May work with all tools/equipment available at

maintenance shop.

-Daily exposure to cleaning solutions, grease.

-Required use of PPE (steel toe shoes, hard hat,

safety glasses, gloves, etc..)

-Able to travel overseas and domestic.
