Job Summary
The individual in this role will manage the Paint department with several Internal and external customers.
Goals:
* Ensure that the Paint Department is meeting all daily Paint goals and targets.
* Work with support departments creating and improving performance standards.
* Create and Maintain Production Reports with the departmental KPI's.
Responsibilities
• Ensure the safety of the team members assigned to your area of responsibility
• Plans, Direct and Coordinate the operations of a Paint Department: Productivity, Quality, Cost
Delivery, and Morale.
• Ensure team members are following the 10 Rules or Statements 100% of the time.
• Enforce the Systems adherence (4M, FIFO, Kanban pulling system, Stop-Call-Wait, etc.)
• Set priorities for Paint scheduling base on new products, material availability and Over Time.
• Ensures good 2S 1Y /5S in their assigned area.
• Leads and promote Kaizen activities.
• Performs 4 M analysis in all NCR's, find root causes and implement countermeasures.
• Other projects and assignments as requested by the management team.
Qualifications
• Engineering Degree or 10 years' experience in the field.
• Good understanding of the manufacturing processes.
• Good communication skills English, Spanish is a Plus.
• Able to travel (5% of the time)
• Computer skills: Spreadsheets and Presentations.
• Knowledge of TPS (Toyota Production System)
• Leadership Skills with strong sense of Ownership.
Physical Demands
• Must be able to lift up to 30 Pounds
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
Working Conditions
• Must be able to work in the manufacturing floor 75% of the time
• Able to use Protective Equipment according with the safety requirements for each area
• Able to work in heavy traffic areas
• Able to work in noisy areas where hearing protective equipment is required
• Able to work with chemicals
• Able to work with machinery
• Able to work extra hours.
